Even Sweeter: Salad-Savvy Restaurant with Cult Following Opens Two More H-Town Locations

TODAY, THE SALAD-SAAVY restaurant Sweetgreen opened its fourth Houston-area location. Followers of the fast-casual chain, the idea for which was first born in a Georgetown dorm room more than 10 years ago, can now score the farm-fresh eats in The Woodlands.

The chic interiors of the 2,800-square-foot space on Six Pines Drive boast pops of green, naturally. Seasonal faves available now include the Rustic Tomato Harvest Bowl with wild rice, toasted almonds, blackened chicken and balsamic vinaigrette. For every meal sold there today, the location will donate a meal to the Community Assistance Center of Montgomery County.

Sweetgreen also announced that its highly anticipated Heights location (600 N. Shepherd Dr.) will debut on June 8, featuring indoor-outdoor seating (there are 50 seats on the spacious patio!) and art courtesy of local maker Dana Caldera, whose collage pieces layer found materials and paint. Additionally, Sweetgreen will make an opening-day donation to Brighter Bites and Black Lives Matter Houston.
