Complete with Trophy Room and Indoor Basketball Court, Kingwood Manse Hits the Market

ONE OF THE most opulent homes in Kingwood just hit the market this afternoon, and we've got the pics!

The three-story spread at 8 Deer Ridge Estates Boulevard is listed for $5.5 million. Boasting more than 17,000 square feet, the palatial house was completed in 2005 after a four-year build based on architect John Henry's designs. It sits on a four-acre hillside lot said to be the highest point in the suburb.

The house has an indoor half basketball court, a lighted tennis court, a two-tiered trophy room, two offices, a library, game room, media room, seven fireplaces and seven custom chandeliers imported from Prague. Outside there's a waterfall pool, lighted tennis courts and sprawling grounds set with fruit trees.

Dana Olejniczak of Martha Turner Sotheby's International Realty has the listing.

Bill Viola’s ‘Ascension,’ on display as part of ‘Living with the Gods’ at MFAH

THE ARTIST WHO ushered in the expressionist movement in the early 20th century was not, in fact, Picasso or Matisse. It was Paul Gauguin, whose career spanned the decades just preceding the turn of the century. The French painter is the subject of the Museum of Fine Arts’ latest exhibit, Gauguin in the World, which was organized by Henri Loyrette (formerly of the Louvre and the Musée d’Orsay, Paris). The show, just one of the museum’s diverse winter season shows, debuted in Australia in June and will be on display through Feb. 16, 2025, at the MFAH, the only U.S. venue for the survey.
