Rooftop 'Renaissance!' Get High on Beyoncé at These Outdoor Events

BEGINNING TONIGHT, COOL venues are offering fun ways for Houstonians to salute Beyonce’s upcoming weekend performances. Ready to swarm the Bey hive? Here’s where to get in formation!


The Post Oak Hotel

Houston’s most over-the-top hotel will host two yoga classes on its rooftop helipad Sept. 21 (5 and 6:45PM). “Calling All the Single Ladies” classes will highlight Queen Bey with an unmatched 360-degree view of the Houston skyline. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed slaying in silver. Tickets are $200 and include access to the luxurious pool.

On Fri., Sept. 22, this downtown architectural wonder will host the ultimate Beyonce pre-game party at Outpost, the rooftop event space. Enter the evening’s “Club Renaissance” and prepare to be immersed in all things Beyoncé with her critically acclaimed Renaissance album music and a special performance by Houston’s own Reign La’Rue. Come dressed for the “Renaissance Realness” best-dressed contest. Tickets: $10 to $20 through Eventbrite.

Rooftop Cinema Club

Put on your dancing shoes and unleash your inner diva at Rooftop Cinema Club Uptown’s hottest event of the season. The Cinema Club’s Beyoncé-themed Silent Disco will feature a special screening of Carmen: A Hip Hopera. Anticipate a mix of music, dance and cinematic magic that pays homage to Queen Bey. Sip your favorite drink at the rooftop bar and experience the magic of Beyonce’s early career on the big screen. Following the film, head to the lounge where dueling DJs will battle it out with two electrifying Beyoncé-inspired sets. Sept. 28, 7PM, Tickets $45.

Houston First is bringing the conference — for meeting-planners who work on behalf of companies and associations to book conventions — to town.
