Think (and Ride) Pink! Rad Rideshare Service Honors Breast Cancer Awareness Month

CHIC RIDESHARE SERVICE Alto has rolled out new designs in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

A handful of the company-managed luxury SUVs will be wrapped with the Susan G. Komen logo and, of course, a pink ribbon; drivers will also wear pink ribbons on their uniforms, and 20 percent of revenue from the rides in these cars will be donated to the foundation.

Passengers who don't get a chance to travel in the pink-tinged vehicles — which, by the way, will give riders the option to select pink ambient lighting inside — can still make a difference: All Alto vehicles will showcase a QR code through which people can make a donation directly to Susan G. Komen. Additionally, anyone can use the code SGKALTO throughout the month of October to score $5 off a ride — and the company will donate an additional $5 to Susan G. Komen.

Founded in 2018, Alto says it hires vetted and professional drivers and has a rigorous cleaning and disinfecting policy (hello, HEPA air filters!). It's gained serious traction over the last 18 months as Houstonians seek safe rideshare options, and continues to expand throughout the country.
