Houston is blessed with world-class theater-arts institutions — that know how to party! TUTS honored Jim and Helen Shaffer at its Havana-inspired Guys and Dolls-themed gala, which included a seated dinner on the Hobby Center’s Sarofim stage. Broadway stars joined students from TUTS’ Humphreys School and The River for spirited performances. Meanwhile, the Alley Theatre painted the town with its “Picasso and the Avant-Garde” gala, held at the Post Oak Hotel. The evening honored Lynn Wyatt and raised $1.2 million.
