THE THOMPSON HOTEL spa turned National Wellness Month into a full-on runway moment. More than 300 guests gathered for an evening that fused travel, fashion and self-care into one stylish package.

The idea? Trade boarding passes for wellness stamps. Guests “traveled” through immersive experiences, each inspired by a different global destination and ritual, all while sipping cocktails, catching skyline views and watching Houston’s most fashionable take the runway.

Hosted by Gregory Palmer of Wareika Hill and Brooklynn Weatherill of LAZYI Eyewear, the vibe was high-energy and luxe — think good music, great style and a crowd fully leaning into the wellness-meets-fashion mashup. For the grand finale — the fashion show! — the lineup included Foreign Fare, Kailier, Versione, Hobbs London, Cotton Club Collection, LAZYI Eyewear, and even Ducati making its way down the runway.

“At Thompson Spa, we believe wellness is more than a routine, it’s a lifestyle,” Said Megan Fitzgerald, Director of Spa & Wellness at Thompson Houston. “The Passport Affair allowed us to connect our guests with local creatives and brands who share our passion for holistic well-being, while also tapping into the joy and healing that travel brings.”

Consider it a glamorous way to kick off Wellness Month — and a sign that Houston’s wellness scene just got a lot more global.

Exclusive Furniture’s Sam Zavary Credits Luck, Hard Work and ‘Mom’s Prayers’ for His Success

How did you get to where you are today? I am a firm believer that hard work and having dreams that you strive to achieve will motivate and inspire people to achieve their potential. Working hard, dreaming, and making sure to take advantage of every opportunity is something I learned at a young age. I credit God and God’s grace firstly, but I know that success is a direct result of hard work. I tell my podcast subscribers and followers to continue setting goals, evolving, improving, and planning, and I practice what I preach. I am proud to have started my business in the fastest growing major city in the United States, and I attribute a lot of the success of Exclusive Furniture to the family culture we create in the best city — Houston’s diversity, philanthropy, and innovation have helped me achieve a lot of the milestones in the furniture business (and the “low prices”) you see today!

UPON ARRIVAL AT Maroma resort on Mexico’s Riviera Maya, a beautifully dressed attendant, briefcase and tablet in hand, ushers guests to their respective rooms. “Here’s your welcome amenity,” she says, gesturing to ceramic vessels on the coffee table with one hand as she completes the check-in process with the other. “It is tequila.”
